Hello and welcome to my webpage. My name is David Eshaya (Mr. E) I have been teaching Physical Education from 1999-Present. I have been teaching at Haven Middle School from 2001-Present. I have also coached Basketball, Soccer, and assisted with Volleyball during these great times. Haven is a wonderful place, great students and a great community.
Physical Education is a time for basketballs to be rolled out, for dodgeball and kickball....No, wait, that was the "old P.E." or "gym" class. The "new P.E.," allows students and teachers to use technology to better assess current individual fitness and set goals to progress toward better personal fitness levels. At Haven Middle School, that is exactly what I envision my students to accomplish. Setting personal goals is very important. My personal goal, as a Physical Educator, is to teach my students to be physically active for a lifetime; introduce my students to a variety of activities that they can do once they are out of school. While I want to be active in my classes and get them up and moving and we do a variety of cardio activities, it is also important to teach the other aspects of physical activity such as recreational activities that may turn students on to being active adults. I also teach current trends in technology so students have the tools needed to stay active in their world. We are teaching for the future not just for today!
